Go Wild: The Adirondacks

Since the Adirondacks are are so close to my hometown, we travel quite a lot to the region for a quick trip when we need to get away and relax. Over the summer, my boyfriend and I climbed Blue Mountain in Blue Mountain Lake, NY. The region is beautiful, as is all of the Adirondack Mountains, and the hike was (for me) a challenge, yet still an easy one! It’s a two mile hike through beautiful scenery of cool, wooded areas, green, fuzzy moss growing on trees and rocks, babbling streams across the trail with trees that have fallen over naturally, and the sunshine peeking through to make everything sparkle.

The top of Blue Mountain houses an old fire tower that you are allowed to climb to see even more extraordinary views of the entire lake, as well as a small cottage for the ranger to stay in to make sure the grounds are up to date! I think in this case, pictures are better than words, so I’ll show you all about our hike below!
