On Location Vacations: Travel and… Film a Movie?

Have you ever heard of On Location Vacations?! Because I hadn’t until someone in my Blogging a Better Planet class (with New York Times blogger, Professor Andrew Revkin at Pace University) brought it up. How cool is this?! Wherever you are, or wherever you are traveling, click on that city on their website, and find out where they are filming. You can be an extra in a movie or TV show! Traveling + being a (sort of) movie star for a day? Sounds pretty awesome to me!

Not only can you be an extra while filming, but they also have tickets available to be in the studio audience of popular sitcoms like the Big Bang Theory. I can’t believe I’ve never heard of this before! On Location Vacation also provides you with the most up-to-date information celebrity events like movie premieres and after parties. One recent one they posted was the information to the new movie, Silver Linings Playbook premiere and after party. If you couldn’t afford tickets to the premiere, they posted full information to watch the stars go down the red carpet. I don’t know about you, but that still sounds like a lot of fun to me!

Has anyone ever done this before?? I’d love to know how it works. Let me know what you thought of your experiences. I want to do it sometime! Who knows, maybe someone you know will get their big break!
