Well, seeing as it’s Sunday, and I love brunch, I figured why not post about the best brunches in the US? Unfortunately, I haven’t been to any of these on this list, but can say my favorites from a few different states! My favorite place to brunch when I’m at home in Upstate NY is at Creekside Cafe and Creamery, mostly because it’s like the TV show “Cheers,” where everybody knows your name. It’s also a great place to get a giant hungry man’s platter consisting of eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, hash browns toast, and coffee for $9, although I usually stick to an omelette!
Whenever I have visitors here in White Plains, I always take them to the Brazen Fox for Sunday brunch. It’s a great way to relax before everyone has to hop in their cars to go back, catch up on the weekend, and chow down on some great food that happens to come with FREE, yes, I said it, free Bloody Marys and Mimosas!
In Chicago, (I’ve already gushed about the amazing strawberry and banana as well as red velvet pancakes in earlier posts) I fell in love with the Bongo Room, so I’d definitely recommend getting yourself the next time you’re in chi-town. There will probably be a little wait because it’s so incredibly popular, but they will provide you with free juice or coffee while you wait to sort of make your mouth stop watering as they pass by you with fluffy waffles and nutella pancakes.
And finally, my favorite town and state of all: Aspen, CO. BB’s kitchen is a swanky, yet laid back (hello, we are in a ski town) restaurant that serves the most amazing Monkey Bread that literally melts in your mouth. The California Fresh Omelette, complete with egg whites, fresh avocados and tomatoes, will also leave you feeling healthy and like you didn’t just gorge on dessert like treats beforehand.
Well, travelers, where is your favorite brunch place????
